When an image, voice or digital presence can be copied and altered in moments, one question comes to the fore: who decides how an artist’s representation is used? As volumetric capture and immersive experiences develop, Cybel’Art puts that question at the centre of its thinking. The task is not only to render a presence; it is also to frame it with respect for people and their rights.

From capture to a responsible framework

In Cybel’Art’s stated vision, an icologram® is a volumetric digital double made from the capture of a real artist. This approach starts from recorded presence rather than creating a substitute performance with deepfake-style imagery. It does not, however, remove the need for clear consent, rules for use or reflection on how long those representations may circulate. Learn more about this approach to volumetric presence through icologram®.

The .icolo ecosystem is presented as a joined-up response to that need. It brings together three complementary references: the icologram® as a volumetric work or presence, the icolocard® as an envisaged rights-management framework, and the icolocoin® as an announced component of an economy for immersive uses. This is a direction and a vision, not an automatic promise of authenticity, control or compensation.

Three components, distinct roles

The icologram® remains the starting point: a digital representation connected to a capture. The icolocard® is described as a certification and rights-management tool intended to associate display, location and duration rules with that representation. In that sense, it could help an artist or rights holder set out conditions for showing an icologram®, whether in a museum, an augmented-reality experience or a stage installation.

The icolocoin® belongs to an announced vision involving blockchain technology and a utility token. Its aim is to imagine clearer exchanges between creation, access and licences in the holographic field. That intention is neither a financial product nor a return promise, and it does not announce a function currently available. The Cybel’Art brands and creative fields provide context for these projects.

Humanising digital without erasing rights

The value of this approach lies in the place it gives artists within a changing technical landscape. Digital presence can create new ways to meet audiences; it should also remain connected to consent, attribution and respect for artistic integrity. That is the thinking behind Cybel’Art’s signature: We Humanize Digital.

The .icolo ecosystem therefore invites us to see technology as a way to organise a more attentive relationship between work, representation and audiences. For the broader company context, see Cybel’Art’s presentation and the page for .icolo SA.
